Run for the Money Fund Raising Results

Robert Carpenter, Hoyle Historic Homestead President, and the entire Board of Directors want to thank everyone for supporting the Gaston Community Foundation’s Run for the Money this year.

The Hoyle Historic Homestead did quite well.  HHH supporters graciously donated $1813.50.  The Community Foundation match of 39% was $707.27.   The grand total which HHH realized from donations and the match was $2520.77, which was an increase of $383.24 from last year.

For volunteer organizations like HHH the opportunity to partner with other groups and organizations realizes greater financial support and additional donations.

Thank you HHH Supporters for providing more opportunities to restore the Historic Hoyle Homestead!

Plastic Products Inc Donates to Hoyle Historic Homestead

The Hoyle Historic Homestead Inc. would like to express thanks and appreciation to Plastic Products, Inc., 1413 Bessemer City Kings Mountain Highway, Bessemer City, 28016 for donating two sheets of lexan which was 1/8 x 48 x 96.  The donation has a value of $180.00.

The clear lexan will be used in current restoration of the interior of the Hoyle House to expose beams and early craftsmanship.  The donation will coincide with the efforts of HHH to complete the main flooring and walls in the Main House.

The Board expresses appreciation for this donation and welcomes other donations as we continue to restore the Historic Hoyle House and Homestead.
